This past Saturday, February 2nd, was a pretty cool day for us at Urban Intellectuals as we had the tremendous opportunity to appear on FOX 32. As the founder and CEO, I, Freddie Taylor, took to the screen not just to speak about our Black History Flashcards but to showcase the impact and necessity of platforms like FOX 32 in advancing our educational mission.

Why Media Appearances Matter for Urban Intellectuals

Media platforms, especially a major network like FOX 32, play a crucial role in amplifying our voice and mission. They allow us to reach audiences that we might not connect with through traditional or digital marketing channels. This visibility is not just about brand exposure; it’s about sparking essential conversations in households that might otherwise remain untouched by the rich tapestry of Black history.

Our appearance on Saturday was particularly special because it coincided with the beginning of Black History Month—a time when the nation turns its attention to the contributions and struggles of Black Americans. During the segment, we discussed the significance of our Black History Flashcards.
