At the core of our Black History Playing Cards is the pushing back of negative stereotypes of the Black community. The world inundates us with images of drug dealers, violence, lack of education, motivation as a people.

We are glad you asked because as you can see, these are not your typical playing cards with boring images of people that look nothing like you, nor represent anything about your history and culture.
THESE ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!!
Yes, there are 52 playing cards, 2 jokers, the four basic suits, and they are standard poker-sized playing cards, but that is where the similarities end. Let’s go deeper.

They include a wonderful metallic glow to them that represents the excellence of the global Black community. The inclusion of the Sankofa bird is a constant reminder to us to bring out history with us into the future.

We took things a step further with the number cards and embedded facts and quotes into each one. That’s right! The 2 through 10 of each suit has a different fact or quote about their respective themes. This allows adults and children to not only learn about individuals inside of each of these themes, but to gather knowledge about their life and contributions to the global African community.
