Yet, he faces a mountain: the financial hurdle to his university education. We, Urban Intellectuals and Fitness Is Not A Game, rally you to our cause—The Giving Black Initiative.

We aim to raise $4,000, an investment not merely in Habson’s future, but in the upliftment of Sierra Leone and, indeed, our whole African Diaspora. Your support will shatter these financial chains, providing Habson with tuition, books, transport, and secure accommodations.

This $4,000 is for a four-year degree at the University of Sierra Leone in Procurement. Habson desires to become the country’s Minister of Procurement. He was inspired as a child from a chance meeting of the then Minister of Procurement who believed Habson had what it took for the position.

Habson’s dream was born.

MEET HABSON

Habson w/ the Taylors in Sierra Leone

My wife, Krystal, and I met young Habson while in Sierra Leone on our dual citizenship journey to our Mother’s homeland. We are both Mende, my wife is also Temne, from Sierra Leone through our mothers. This was a very special journey for us. And yes, we did become dual citizens of Sierra Leone. Habson was one of the tour guides on the two-week trip.
We had many conversations to get to know the young man. He is very bright, intelligent, humble, hardworking, a serious dancer, and a member of the Mende people as well.
We love and support this young man, hopefully, you will pitch in and join us in helping make one of his dreams come true, college graduate!!
