Back in the day, when rent was due and the money was funny, the Black community had a powerful solution:

🎷 The Rent Party.
You’d clear the living room, turn up the music, and invite the whole block. Folks would dance, laugh, throw down on some food—and drop a little change to help each other stay afloat.
It was never charity. It was community.

And right now, we’re calling on that same spirit.
Urban Intellectuals needs to raise $15,000 to pay off a predatory loan that’s been holding us down—and we’re inviting you to the Rent Party.
