Dear Urban Intellectuals Family,
As we approach Black History Month, let’s call on the spirit of our ancestors to Keep that Big Montgomery Energy going and carry forward the torch of knowledge and empowerment. But let’s agree to do this by digging a bit deeper into our glorious Black history. It has always bewildered us that for some reason, we only talk about the same 8-12 people every year.
And if you slowed down and thought about it, I bet you can name them, can’t you?
MLK, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Barack, and Michelle Obama have been added recently….you get the idea.
There is so much more to Black history and it is in this spirit that we invite you to our information session and “Keeping that Big Montgomery Energy Going”. This event is uniquely crafted for our community to inspire and empower us this year.
As Seen
The Black community was set ablaze on this day as we witnessed what unity in the community can look like. We saw brothers and sisters swim, run, and eagerly jump in to defend a Black man who was attacked for simply doing his job.
While it makes us smile and sharing the videos and footage was good for the moment, we have to keep that spirit alive every day. We don’t have to just come together when racism raises its ugly head. It is okay to do this politically, economically, socially, educationally, and more.
The coming together of the Black community is a must and an energy we need to cultivate and spread. That’s what this event is all about.
Deepen Your Understanding: Uncover the rich, Black history that is available to us beyond the typical discussions that will not only bring you joy, but inspiration and empowerment. There is so much more available if we are willing to go deeper. And we are going to show you and help.
Journey to the Motherland: That’s right, the Urban Intellectuals Travel Movement is giving away a trip to Africa on one of our Black history travel experiences. However, you have to attend this session to find out how you can win! Travel changes people and we want to give you a trip for free!
Exclusive Early Bird Bonus: Want extra chances to win this trip to Africa? Engage with us during the information session and gain an additional opportunity to win.
Celebrate Black Excellence: This is more than just an information session, it is the start of a movement. This Black History month will forever be different because it is the one that will open up the discussions of Black excellence and show you many more people and situations throughout history where Big Montgomery Energy was unleashed on the world.
Hosted by the dynamic, Telly Award-winning host and founder of Urban Intellectuals, Freddie Taylor, this webinar promises to be an inspiring blend of knowledge, inspiration, and community spirit. From reflecting on the pivotal events in Black history to exploring paths forward, this is an evening you cannot afford to miss.
